The problem

Digital collectibles lack a transparency layer.

NFT ecosystems are built on public blockchains, yet the information that matters most to collectors — how many cards actually remain in circulation — is rarely visible in real time. Supply figures are assumed. Rarity is stated. Holders make decisions with incomplete information.

No visibility

Circulating supply changes are not surfaced anywhere collectors can easily see.

No signal

There is no standard way to permanently retire an NFT and have that action tracked.

No record

Removal events go unindexed, leaving the market without a reliable supply ledger.

The response

A permanent record, open to anyone.

The Burn Pit gives any NFT holder the ability to voluntarily and permanently remove their tokens from circulation. Once submitted, the action is recorded on-chain and indexed publicly — creating a verifiable, growing ledger of supply reduction that anyone can read.

We work exclusively with quality projects and established brands — teams that are responsive and accountable to their communities. Which collections are eligible to burn is governed directly through the smart contract, keeping the registry trustworthy and curated.

How it works

Simple steps. Permanent outcome.

Approve

One-time per collection

Burn

Sent to the vault permanently

Index

Activity recorded on-chain

Track

Visible in registry & leaderboard

The entire flow happens on-chain. No KYC needed. No platform approval. Gas is the only cost. Burns are irreversible by design — there is no mechanism to retrieve a token once it enters the vault.

The system

Built on open, verifiable infrastructure.

Smart Contract

Permanently holds NFTs on Ethereum

On-chain Events

Every burn action is publicly recorded

Indexing

Activity is tracked and queryable

Data Layer

Fast reads for the dashboard

UI

Registry, leaderboard, analytics

Every action in the system traces back to an on-chain event. Nothing is curated or editable after the fact.

Why it matters

Scarcity should be demonstrated, not declared.

01

Real supply data

Every burn creates an on-chain record. Over time, the registry becomes a live picture of true supply statistics — actual circulation, not simply original mint numbers.

02

Collective visibility

Burn activity is public and aggregated. Collectors, communities, and analysts can see how supply is shifting in real time — without relying on any single platform to report it.

03

Earned recognition

Every burn on The Burn Pit's NFT protocol earns points. Those points accumulate, compound with streaks, and surface on a public leaderboard — turning participation into a measurable, on-chain reputation.

The ecosystem

Built around the NFTs you hold.

The Burn Pit is the foundation of a broader set of products, each designed to give holders more ways to act on their NFTs — whether that means burning, selling, bundling, or competing for prizes.
